RS-232 Serial Port is used to receive bar-code data from a  barcode scanner, upgrading the ScanSharks internal program and Cloning a SKU Master file from one ScanShark to another.

This is not an old fashioned serial port that might be found on a lesser machine. This is the latest generation of super high-speed serial ports running at 1 Mega-Baud or over eight times faster than a standard serial port operating at it's maximum speed.

 Display:

 4 line X 20 Character Supertwist LCD STN Supertwist (STN) type displays are viewable from wider angles  and have a higher contrast than standard LCDs.

 Lithium battery, 10 years lifespan
The Compact Flash data backup and Program memory need no power at all to retain its memory.		 The lithium battery is only necessary for the cache memory backup while changing the main batteries. Replacement is inexpensive. Time in use is not counted towards battery lifespan.
